How We Choose and Order Listings

This page explains how businesses end up in our directory of lawn care companies serving Little Elm, Texas, and how that list is put in order. It covers what a business needs before it can be listed, what keeps a business out, how the order is decided, and how to ask for a correction.

How We Find Businesses to List

Businesses are found through Google listings for lawn care companies serving Little Elm and the surrounding area. A Google listing shows a business's name, service area, and the Google reviews left by past customers. We check each listing against the conditions below before adding it to our directory.

What a Business Must Have to Be Listed

A business must meet all four of the following conditions before it is added, not just one or two of them.

First, it must have an open Google listing with public reviews that anyone can read. Second, it must be located in Little Elm or serve the town from within about 10 miles, so it is realistically available to Little Elm homeowners. Third, it must have its own working website, separate from any marketplace or directory listing. Fourth, it must offer residential lawn care services such as fertilization, weed control, mowing, or lawn pest control. A business missing any one of these four conditions is not added.

What Is Left Out

Several kinds of listings are left out even when they turn up in a search for lawn care near Little Elm. Booking marketplaces and lead-referral sites are excluded, since they are not the business doing the actual work. Businesses with no website, along with closed or duplicate listings, are also left out, as are companies that only offer hardscape or pool services rather than lawn care.

How the List Is Ordered

Every business after the first listing is ordered by its number of Google reviews, with the highest review count listed first. If two businesses have the same number of reviews, the one with the higher rating is listed ahead of the other. If both are equal, the two businesses are listed alphabetically by name.

What the Numbers Mean

The ratings and review counts shown next to each business reflect what appeared on that business's Google listing when we last checked, not necessarily what shows today. We checked these numbers on September 15, 2026. We do not promise a set schedule for checking them again, so a review count or rating may have changed since that date.

How Descriptions Are Written

Each business's description on our directory is drawn from what that business says about its own services on its own website. We do not rank businesses by quality, call any business the best, or write anything negative about a business. Each description aims to describe what a business offers, not to judge how well it does the work.

Requesting a Correction or Removal

Any business listed on our directory can ask us to correct information about its listing or ask to have the listing removed entirely. To make either request, contact us and let us know which business and what needs to change.
